EnquireNaming Service
Our Naming Service is a relaxed and meaningful way to welcome your child into the world and celebrate their name with the people who matter most. It’s a chance to gather with family and friends in a warm, supportive church setting and mark this special moment together.
What is a naming service?
A Naming Service is a non-religious or lightly spiritual ceremony held in church. It focuses on celebrating your child, sharing their name, and recognising the love and support surrounding them.
Make it special
It’s perfect for families or anyone who may not be looking for a blessing but still want a special and memorable occasion.
What to expect
The service is informal, friendly, and can be shaped around you. It usually includes:
1. A warm welcome for you and your guests
2. The announcement and celebration of your child’s name
3. Words of encouragement, hopes, and wishes for your child’s future
4. Optional readings, poems, or music chosen by you
5. A simple blessing if you would like one
We’ll work with you to make sure the service feels personal and right for your family.
